Rembering Mickey Spillane, Datajunkie shares a batch of Mike Hammer radio shows.

Comics artist/writer Frank Miller will direct a film based on cartoonist Will Eisner's famed strip, "The Spirit," Reuters reports.

Production is slated to begin in about a year. Miller already is working on a draft but must first finish "Sin City 2," said Deborah Del Prete, whose Odd Lot Entertainment banner will co-finance and produce "The Spirit."

Let's hope the result pays homage to Eisner's original version and isn't just another tired "dark" Frank Miller take on things.

Peter Hawkins, the actor who gave terrifying voice to Doctor Who's Daleks died July 8, the BBC's official Doctor Who site reports.

For most fans of Doctor Who he was, with David Graham, the voice of the original Daleks, working on every Dalek serial of the 1960s as well as the two big-screen Dalek movies.

In other Doctor Who news, composer Murray Gold's sountrack music from the latest seasons of the show will be available on CD soon.

Most unfortunate album title ever? (Sorry, no sharity link for the music, but the album is set for reissue soon).

USA Today's Pop Candy recommends some "comics for people who don't read comics."
