A straight-to-DVD animated film "Superman: Doomsday" is set for release in September.

Superman: Doomsday features the voices of Adam Baldwin (“Independence Day”) as Superman/Clark Kent, Anne Heche (“Men in Trees”) as Lois Lane and James Marsters (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer”) as Lex Luthor, and will be available for $19.98.

Produced by Bruce Timm (Justice League Unlimited, Batman:The Animated Series) and written by Duane Capizzi (The Batman, The Batman vs. Dracula), Superman:Doomsday is inspired by the best-selling graphic novel of all time, DC Comics’ "The Death of Superman".

The Los Angele Times talks to Joss Whedon about his new "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" comics series, which picks up where the TV series ended.

"It really was like being home again," Whedon said wistfully about returning to "Buffy." " 'Oh, here are my old friends. They're so funny!' You can hear their voices so specifically. It was a comic spoken in the voices of actors you worked with for seven or eight years."
