Edward Norton will replace Eric Bana as Bruce Banner in the upcoming Hulk movie, Variety reports.
The new pic begins with Banner on the run, trying to avoid capture long enough to cure the condition that turns him into a misunderstood green menace.
"Edward Norton is a rare talent and one of the most versatile actors in the business," Marvel Studios production president Kevin Feige said in a statement. "His ability to transform into a particular role makes him the ideal choice to take on the character of Bruce Banner and the Hulk. Edward is perfectly suited to bring one of the most popular and important Marvel icons to the bigscreen in a new and exciting way."

A "new" novel by the late J.R.R. Tolkien goes on sale this week.
Tolkien's son and literary executor Christopher, now in his eighties, constructed "The Children of Hurin" from his father's manuscripts, and said he tried to do so "without any editorial invention".
Already told in fragmentary form in "The Silmarillion", which appeared in 1977, the new book is darker than "The Hobbit" and "The Lord of the Rings", for which Tolkien is best known.

"Spider-Man 3" gets an early screening in Tokyo.
"To see Spider-Man cry so much was different," said Gerry Penacoli, a critic for Extra entertainment magazine, after seeing the "Spider-Man" preview in Tokyo ahead of the evening premiere.
"It's more intense -- you still have great action but certainly it's the deepest of the three. Kids and adults will learn so much more from this than from a movie that's just wham-shazam," he added.
