Rumor has it a Veronica Mars comic book series will be published by DC's Wildstorm imprint. Rob Thomas, creator of the "Veronica" TV series is said to be heavily involved.

Actor James Marsters ("Spike" from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer") is set to appear during season 2 of "Doctor Who" spinoff "Torchwood."

The Trades reviews the new "New Adventures of Batman" DVD, which collects the Caped Crusader's 1970s animated show.

The "Heroes" cast will be a bit bigger next season.

Alias" alum David Anders, Barry Shabaka Henley, Holt McCallany, Japanese pop star and actress Eriko Tamura, Lyndsy Fonseca and Dianna Agron will all take on recurring roles.

A new "Speed Racer" series will air on Niktoons next season.

The new "Speed Racer" cartoon is set to launch next year, around the same time that Warner Bros.' live-action "Speed Racer," directed by the Wachowskis, hits theaters.

"It seemed like the right time to do a revival," said Ken Katsumoto, exec VP of family entertainment at Lionsgate. "When this opportunity arose to revive such a classic property, we jumped."
