I always liked Badfinger. I first learned of them when they were still named "The Iveys", and were one of the first non-Beatle bands on the Apple record label.
Pete Ham (on keyboard) and Tom Evans (the vocalist in this video) eventually both hanged themselves - so sad. Years later, I learned that the song "Without You" (which was recorded by Nilsson) was written by Ham and Evans. It's eerie to listen to the lyrics of that song now ("can't live, if living is without you"), knowing their fate.
