Return of the Joker van
Back in the 1970s Mego released a Joker van for the Clown Prince of Crime to tool around in. Now it's back! Via Bat-Blog, check out the 2009 model, which is part of Fisher-Price's DC Super Friends line:

Ditko Creeper hardcover, Doc Savage collection coming from DC Comics
Spotted on Amazon:
The Creeper by Steve Ditko This is a 256-page hardcover due out next February. I presume is part of DC's Library of Classics series. Interestingly, the previously announced Showcase Presents the Creeper title no longer appears on DC's Web site. Has it been delayed/canceled in exchange for this hardcover volume?
Doc Savage: The Silver Pyramid by Dennis O'Neill and Adam Kubert, a 128-page softcover out in January. These are reprintings from DC's late 1980s Doc series, I presume. This is likely timed to coincide whatever mysterious Doc Savage revival DC has in the works.

An exhibit of Popeye-influenced works created by American pop artist Jeffrey Koons is on display in England.
Popeye and Olive Oyl are central to the series, with many of the pieces on loan from both public and private collections.
The exhibition also includes dolphins, a paddling pool, monkeys and lobsters which, at first glance, look like inflatable toys.

"Torchwood" star John Barrowman isn't happy that the BBC cut season three of the show from 13 to 5 episodes.
The BBC said it wanted to create "a powerful sense of event" with Children of Earth, which will start on Monday.
Barrowman told the Radio Times: "I'm going to get a little political and I'll probably get into trouble for it."
He said Torchwood's first series had been "the most successful show on BBC3 - ever" and, as a result, had been moved to BBC Two where "we were beating shows that had been on BBC Two for a long time".
"The decision was made to go to BBC One and then we were cut - from 13 episodes down to five."
..."Other shows move from BBC Three and Two to One and they don't get cut.
"So why are we? It felt like every time we moved we had to prove ourselves."

Matthew Sweet and Susanna Hoffs to release second Under the Covers set
Under the Covers Vol. 1, a set of 1960s covers by Matthew Sweet and Susanna Hoffs, got a lot of airtime at our house when it came out a few years back. So it'll be fun to hear the duo's take on a batch of 70s nuggets on Vol. 2, due out July 21.
