As I recall, the guys from Rockpile (including Dave Edmunds and Nick Lowe) had been unofficially playing together for a few years on each others albums but were contractually tied in such ways that they couldn't bill themselves as a group. They finally worked at all the legal hassles, recorded one album, one EP, played at the Concerts for Kampuchea...then broke up! I've actually been playing their album a lot here lately. You're rundown is correct, Steve. Rockpile is present on a number of Edmunds/Lowe albums from the late 70s--all great stuff. And they only did the one album, including a Lowe/Edmunds EP of Everly Brothers covers, under that name. A truly underrated and overlooked band.
