Video Find: "The Unloveable James Bond"


In GoldenEye (1995), M describes James Bond as a “sexist, misogynist dinosaur”. In a video essay exploring the world’s most famous secret agent’s relationships with women, actor Maryam d’Abo and academic Dr Hannah Hamad discuss Bond and how his character has become more rounded since the film series began more than 50 years ago. Clips from a range of Bond films including Goldfinger (1964), Live and Let Die (1973) and Spectre (2015) illustrate d’Abo and Hamad’s argument.
