Ken Nordine, known for his spoken "Word Jazz" LPs and radio show, is dead at age 98, reports WBEZ.
Along with his imaginative spoken word pieces, which include collaborations with Tom Waits and the Grateful Dead, Nordine provided voice-overs on a zillion TV ads, including work for Levis, Taster's Choice coffee and other products.
