Screw It, the Blog is Back!

Announcing, right now, the return of Pop Culture Safari! as you (maybe) knew and loved it.

Short story long: I got a note from a longtime reader the other day that confirmed some nagging doubts I had about the newsletter format being a good format for what I do. 

A lot of my posts are mostly visual, which works better in the blog format, and many of them are pretty short. Again, the blog is better for that.

Plus, blogging allows for more spontaneity. I can post whenever I feel like it, and you can look at the site at it if/whenever you feel like it.

Plus, PCS! has a built-in audience whereas, with the newsletter, I essentially was building a new audience from scratch.

And, finally, this isn't about the money for me. It would've been nice to attract lots of subscriptions via the newsletter format, but would've taken a lot of time and work and, even then, may not have amounted to much.

So, we're back to being free. Thanks for hanging in there during my existential crisis. Let's have fun!
