XTC - Live Boots - Emerald City, Cherry Hill, New Jersey 17th April 1981
2-CD release of the new official XTC bootleg series titled 'Live Boots' First of the series kicks off with one of the band's renowned gigs from Emerald City, New Jersey in April 1981. 2-CD set cut by Jason Mitchell at Loud Mastering. Sleevenotes from all four original band members - Partridge / Moulding / Gregory & Chambers. A 200 gram double LP version of this gig was released on April 18th 2026, exclusively via Record Store Day, and now, due to popular demand, a 2CD version will be made available in mid-June 2026. This is the first of a planned series of XTC official bootleg releases titled 'Live Boots' which draws from the band's archives with minimal audio restoration undertaken by cutting engineer Jason Mitchell working with Andy Partrdige.

This 6-CD set presents newly remastered editions of all 10 Soul City and Bell albums plus a whopping 25 bonus tracks. The collection includes the chart-topping 'Aquarius/Let The Sunshine In' and 'Wedding Bell Blues' plus top ten hits 'Up, Up, And Away,' 'Stoned Soul Picnic,' 'One Less Bell To Answer,' and '(Last Night) I Didn't Get To Sleep At All' as well as the psych-pop classic 'The Magic Garden'. Bonus tracks encompass non-LP singles, outtakes, the authorised debut of rare live versions, and the previously unreleased Bones Howe production of Carole King and Gerry Goffin's 'Hi-De-Ho.'

Dick Spottswood is a legendary musicologist with deep knowledge of early jazz, blues, international, and vernacular American music from the first half of the 20th Century. He has contributed notes and transfers of records from his collection to hundreds of influential reissue albums on many labels over the decades. Spottswood teams up with Tompkins Square to offer a selective view of our favorite 78 rpm sides from 1925, a pivotal year in the development of jazz, blues and early country music.

Released on 3-CD and remastered from the original analog tapes by GRAMMY-winning engineer Paul Blakemore, the set includes new liner notes by GRAMMY-winners Ashley Kahn and Dan Morgenstern.
