  4. That 1972 Batman looks a little like the X-Men's Wolverine, especially with that subtle drop of off-white/yellow on the crown of his head.

  10. heard a lecture on graphic logos. one sample they used was the batman emblem (on his chest). this ph.d dude said that the circle was (a) actually a sillhouette of a bat flying across the moon as backdrop; (b) it represents the bat signal refracting from the clouds and (c) the dark knight is nocturnal. any truth to this, batgeeks?

  11. According to Jeph Loeb when asked this in an interview it's for 2 reasons.

    1) For the comics the yellow makes a godd contrast against the black of his batsuit (this is why the belt is yellow too)

    2) It makes a target for criminals to shoot at, deflecting attention from his head which is quite vulnerable.
