A few gems from Classic TV Showbiz:
See Stevie Wonder on "Sesame Street" in 1972.
See Louis Armstrong on "I've Got a Secret" in 1965.
See William Shatner sing on "The Mike Douglas Show" in 1969.
-----
Booksteve endorses DC's new "Billy Batson and the Magic of Shazam" comic. I definitely plan to check it out once I get a chance to visit my local comic book shop. I've got a feeling my 10-year-old son is gonna love it.
Kids reading comics: Where could this radical trend lead?!!
------
John Lennon's Indian talisman, the only thing he wore on the infamous Two Virgins album cover with Yoko Ono, is up for auction.
------
Via CosmoBells: The bonkers "33⅓ Revolutions Per Monkee" TV special from 1969, featuring appearances by Brian Auger (and The Trinity), Julie Driscoll, Paul Arnold & The Moon Express, Fats Domino, Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard and The Clara Ward Singers.

Before they wrote comic books, folks like Roy Thomas, Gerry Conway, Denny O'Neill and Tony Isabella wrote to comic books--in the letter columns. (Letter columns, like fun, is one of the key things missing from most superhero comics today). Bully takes a look.

Newsweek checks in with Sid and Marty Krofft on the set of the upcoming "Land of the Lost" feature film.
If the Krofft cult, now middle aged, brings their children to see what they watched as kids, Lost will be a hit next summer, and Sid and Marty have a real shot at getting the rest of their classic shows turned into big-budget pictures. That would be heaven for both of them. They're old-timers in a "What have you done for me lately?" business. For Sid, 78, and Marty, 71, this is their last chance to stretch their legacy to a new generation.

BBC airs lost Beatles interview
You can listen to a previously missing 1964 interview with the Beatles here.
Program details from the BBC:
Sixties star Helen Shapiro presents the story of a lost TV interview with the Beatles that was recorded in April 1964 and recently found languishing in a rusty film can in a garage in South London. Experts say it's the earliest surviving interview where Lennon and McCartney talk about how they met and discuss the song writing process. With contributions from the original TV interviewer Paul Young - who had never seen the footage, which was part of a regional television programme broadcast only in Scotland - Beatles expert and writer Mark Lewisohn and Dick Fiddy of the BFI.

Superman at 70: Superman and the Mole Men movie posters and lobby cards
This 1951 black-and-white feature was done as a trial for "The Adventures of Superman" TV series and it's pretty fun. I mean, it's got little people dressed up as mole men, for crying out loud!
