Doctor Who's Brigadier dies
Nicholas Courtney, who played Brigadier Alistair Lethbridge-Stewart on more than 100 episodes of "Doctor Who" died Tuesday at age 81.
"Of all the characters in Doctor Who there is no doubt he was the most loved by the fans for his wonderful portrayal of the rather pompous Brigadier," said Tom Baker, who played opposite him as the fourth incarnation of The Doctor.
The Brigadier, who first appeared in the Sixties, was a key figure in the adventures during Jon Pertwee's run as The Doctor, but the character appeared regularly opposite other Time Lords.

Netflix to stream classic CBS series including Star Trek and Twilight Zone
Netflix briefly streamed seasons of "Star Trek" and "The Twilight Zone" but it now has rights to all of CBS's shows, with the exception of those currently airing. This means, come April, you'll be able to watch every incarnation of "Star Trek" from the original series on, and a bunch of other cool old shows.
I'm not regretting canceling my cable.
The list of CBS programming coming to Instant Streaming is pretty long. New shows like Medium and Flashpoint will be available along with full seasons of “iconic” series’ like Frasier, Family Ties, and Cheers. The list goes on to include the original Hawaii Five-O and 60’s classic The Andy Griffith Show.
I'm not regretting canceling my cable.
Paul McCartney is cool with bootleg remixes of the Beatles
Paul McCartney thinks illegitimate remixes of Beatles tunes are just fine with him.
He said: "I didn't mind when something like that happened with the Grey Album. But the record company minded. They put up a fuss. But it was like, 'Take it easy guys, it's a tribute.'"
Macca wants more producers to sample The Beatles.
He told Radio 1 documentary The Beatles And Black Music, to be broadcast next Monday: "It was really cool when hip-hop started, you would hear references in lyrics, you always felt honoured.
"It's exactly what we did in the beginning - introducing black soul music to a mass white audience. It's come full circle, it's well cool.
"When you hear a riff similar to your own your first feeling is 'rip-off'. After you've got over it you think, 'Look at that, someone's noticed that riff.'"

New Peanuts comic from Boom! sparks Webwide speculation
Boom! Comics has announced a fresh kids imprint: Kaboom! and is hinting at some upcoming titles under that banner, including one featuring Charles Schultz's Peanuts.
No details outside this teaser art have been revealed to date:
The announcement has some people wondering if this means the Peanuts will be featured in new comic book adventures. That would be a pretty big deal, given that the Schultz estate seems pretty protective of the characters. Afterall, we only see Peanuts reprints in the newspaper, not new strips. I wouldn't envy the creative team endeavoring to create new stories featuring Charlie Brown, et. al.
Maybe Kaboom will be reprinting comic strips, in color, in comic book form? Or maybe these will be all-new creations. We'll see soon enough, I bet.
