Sneak peek at Tintin movie

This looks cool, although I'm so sure "photo real" CGI as the best way to go with Tintin. Much of the charm of the comic art is the clean lines and lack of excessive rendering. Here, it looks we'll see all the nooks and crannies of faces and objects. What do you think? From Empire mag:

“With live action you’re going to have actors pretending to be Captain Haddock and Tintin,” says Peter Jackson. “You’d be casting people to look like them. It’s not really going to feel like the Tintin Hergé drew. It’s going to be somewhat different. With CGI we can bring Hergé’s world to life, keep the stylised caricatured faces, keep everything looking like Hergé’s artwork, but make it photo-real.”

Joker creator Jerry Robinson intereviewed

...but he did a lot more than that. The Comics Journal chats with the Golden Age great.

after seven years of drawing Batman I wanted to do something else. I didn’t see myself drawing Batman for the next twenty years. That was true of every other thing I did. Actually when I was doing Jet Scott, and I decided to leave after two years, during that time I thought I was doing quite credible work for the genre — adventure/science fiction — at the time. A lot of people said nice things about it. I remember thinking specifically I was almost afraid it would be too popular.

Paul McCartney recounts challenging history of Band on the Run

Macca says all his original demos for the Band songs were stolen when he and Linda were mugged at knifepoint in Nigeria. So, I guess that's why we won't be hearing those recordings as extras on the newly remastered version of the album.

"...I had to remember the songs. Luckily I did. I'd written them not too long ago so I'd kind of remembered them.
